One of my other passions is miniatures in particular miniature needlework I love the challenge of seeing just how small I can go stitchy wise! Over the summer I finished off a miniature sampler kit from Nicola Mascall who designs some fabulous miniature kits. The original kit was on 56 hpi count silk gauze but this version I stitched on 84 count silk gauze and the stitched area measures about 1" square.
I found this wonderful wooden frame to display the stitching in on etsy.
The smaller version I stitched on 112 count silk gauze and it measures about 5/8" square and I used pipers silk threads.
I definitely need magnification to stitch these and have a wonderful magnifying lamp which is currently parked in a cupboard till the summer as it does take up a huge amount of floor space. Thank you for stopping by and roll on April!
