BBD progress...nearly there!

I hope everyone who celebrates Mother's Day in March had a wonderful day. My son made me a lovely picture instead of a card as he told me I could then keep it up all year instead of a few days like a card aww he can be sweet!
My kids gave me some lovely homemade gifts this year and all very practical too.
A very handy tote bag personally designed for me 💕
And a beautifully handcrafted wooden spatula 💕

I even managed to squeeze in a little bit of stitching over a few days last week.
I've managed some stitching on 'her sampler' by BBD. Another band of those bloomin eyelet stitches sheesh! so glad they are over and done with.
Oh what joy to be back stitching cross stitches and how much quicker my stitching went too.
This is where I am up to as of today. Another border of those blasted eyelet stitches has finally done for me lol. I've given up and put it away again. Although to be honest I had to put it away in favour college course work. Hope you all have a faby week and thanks for stopping by.

woohoo lucky me!!

A few weeks ago I had great fun following the 'grow your own blog' party where I got to read some fabulous new blogs and of course some that I already followed and was amazed at all the wonderful blogs that are out there. This blog party stuff was all new to me... but it was such a fun way to find new blogs that I may otherwise never have stumbled across in my bloggy wanderings. I entered a prize draw on one of the blogs and look what a lucky duck I am....see what arrived in the post for me today! Gilly of gilly makes blog hosted a giveaway and I was one of the lucky winners woohoo!! Thank you Gilly. Gilly's blog if you haven't already visited is well worth popping over for a wee look and to meet her gorgeous dogs!
Want to see what I won?
hmmmm looks well wrapped...wonder what's under the quilt batting?
Ooh! Isn't that wrapping pretty? I almost didn't want to unwrap it..
and a pretty card too!
Mmmm pretty fabrics and a special mug too what a lucky girl. A wee extra bonus is that piece of quilt batting, I will be able to put that to good use too when I get round to making up the easter ornaments that I stitched last year... Woohoo bonus!
Can you read the verse on the mug? It is so apt....can't wait to drink my tea out of it and Iam already thinking what to make with those gorgeous scrummy fabrics they are all London prints...but for now Iam just going to keep admiring them! Thank yout Gilly I am a very lucky girl and your parcel has brightened up my day!
Off now to road test my new mug and admire those scrummy fabrics have a lovely weekend everyone  x
